Even though past year and a half, the Link Building has opened up doors to other ranking factors such as “Mentions” and social networks relevance, but it is still one of the basic pillars of any SEO strategy.

What has changed is the way that we must develop the Link Building Campaigns, if before you wouldn’t care much about how organic your links were, or anchor texts for a second, well Google is now keeping an eye on any suspicious M.O. that we could be engaging for these results. (That sounded so Horatio from CSI:Miami)

1. DIVERSITY AND EASE

Hand holding a glass ball with words

This is not something that I put in first place by mistake, these are two factors that we must insist the most, diversity and ease, becoming key factors to achieve success in any area of online marketing and link building, it couldn’t be less than that.

And with diversity i mean both link sources ( Forums, blogs, local media…) and the best way of getting this is with original content, even if it’s an image, a video, an info graphic or even a whitepaper; this way we will get true organic back links.

2. EVERGREEN CONTENT:

Evergreen content tag

We like to call this “green sprouts”, let me explain it better, this is content that does not devalues with time, even if months or years go by, it is still interesting and link-able as the day you published it.

And how do you get this? I always think of the list of strategies of Link Building from Point Blank SEO, shared over 4,000 times and with 409 domains linking to it.

But what is the first thing we need to do if we want to create Evergreen content, we need to avoid writting about current news or “Trending Topics” , this kind of content works well on short term, but it disappears right away; what is best is for us to focus in a doubt or a problem, for example : “Which are the best strategies for Link Building” and give a solution, but squeezing every detail into the article to help resolve the doubt/problem.

In EConsultancy, there is a great article about 15 ways to optimise your evergreen content strategy.

3. HAS TO BE SOMETHING WORTH SHARING

Line of light bulbs only one lit, people gathering on to lit bulb

Putting it other way I would say, it has to be something that people is interested in and it does not necessarily needs to be a post in your blog. What I don’t mean to create something that will only link just beacause, but creating a video, a picture or a presentation that someone could later include in their own content, something that will be later claimed by you as a link, in  case they didn’t included it already.

4. NOT EVERYTHING HAS TO BE LINKS

Hand Shake

Meaning that even if it’s mentioned it may not link to our brand or our business in a post, but Google will relate immediately a certain kind of content to our brand, and our brand to our page, so don’t go crazy if someone does not link you properly.

5. THINK OFFLINE

Not all you do to make your online presence better, necessarily needs to be online. Any action that you do offline might result interesting people of your niche, and it could easily turn into news, as well as converting these echoes into links and mentions for you.

Let’s use as an example, you have a Design agency and you’re offering a free Photoshop course, with a bit effort on social networks you could spread the word about something a lot of people would be interested in, because you need to give (your followers something they can relate in real life), so you can get (the client’s loyalty, share, mention and recommendation).

6. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THOSE WHO ARE ALREADY LINKING YOU BACK

Wouldn’t it be more likely that someone who has already exchanged back links with you would do it again? Help yourself with theses guys to share and promote your content, if your previous content has been interesting for then, the chances that they link you again will boost importantly. Look in your link profile with a tool like Open Site Explorer to see who has linked to you previously and contact them.

7. INVITE BLOGGERS TO SUBMIT TO YOUR BLOG

Asides from the classic way of getting back links by guest blogging, invite other bloggers to publish in your blog, they will not only add variety to your content, it will make these bloggers give you relevance in social networks and will definitely link you in the future about they post they made for you, or even using any of your content as a link too.

8. BE CONSISTENT

Something very important to get organic back links is being constant when it comes to publish content. If too much time goes by between posts, (like we’ve missed out for a few weeks, but hey what can I say is not easy to work Web Development, Guilty!) your reades will start to forget you exist (Pretty please, don’t). Neither is necessary to publish every day, it is better to create quality content once a week than publishing something mediocre every day.

9. ADD VALUE

If you will center in Link Building in forums and blog coments, the only advise we will give you is to add value to it, and don’t just try to be slick and slide your link at all costs, and overall if these are links that have poor relevance to Google, relevant comments/posts will bring relevant traffic to your web.

10. UPDATE YOUR CONTENT

If in the past you’ve published something that’s been very successful, why not use that too?
Go through your most successful posts and try to update them, could be with new information or a new focus. If it has worked before, it is most likely to work again.

11. UPDATE CONTENT (FROM SOMEONE ELSE)

This strategy is very effective and useful. Using this tool to find outdated contentyou will be able to see which content has been created for a key word, you can also compare dates, in order to see if the subject is outdated, create the same content updated and contact the websites who originally posted it and suggest them to re-post it.
The best way to find this kind of content is finding any date in which there was an important change, for example, if your niche is Formula 1, almost every year between certain dates there will be new updated FIA norms or rules, searching in these specific dates it is more likely that you find them.
Thank you so much for reading once more, and for your loving patience, we hope you’ve enjoyed. Any questions, suggestions please let us know! We’re here to help.

While going over some marketing surveys lately, I actually realized the true importance given to social networks nowadays, so i decided to put this little post together for you guys, please enjoy.
Observing Anderson Analytics, we’ve discovered that after surveying  members of Facebook, that at this moment use social networks consider this a very effective and efficient way to obtain opinions of the decision makers nowadays.

Just like these reports show, 66% of the individuals surveyed have admitted that they have a lot to do in the decision making of their companies or businesses. These members are also more active inLinkedIn, and are the best source of qualified opinions, becoming great influence in different groups. The thing is most people rather use a product that has been recommended by either someone they know or a public/famous figure.

Everything is changing. These social networks represent a great opportunity for market researchers, making communication possible among that audience that is hard to reach with printed media. So companies understand and respond to costumer’s needs, their behavior and preferences in a more direct way.

No we as ourselves this question… Are social networks the future for market researchers? I guess so.

E-commerce also known as Electronic Commerce, is a term for any tipe of business, or commercial transaction, that involves the transfer of information and/or funds across the Internet. It covers a range of different type of businesses, from consumer based retail sites, as well as auction or music sites, to business exchanges trading goods and services between corporations. It is currently one of the most important aspects for the Internet to emerge.

E- commerce allows consumers to electronically exchange goods and services with no barriers of

time or distance. It has also expanded rapidly over the past 5 years and it’s predicted to continue at this rate, or even accelerate.

There’s different types of E- commerce, such as:

• B2B (Business to Business):

These transactions are those where both the transacting parties are businesses. e.g., Manufacturers, Traders, Retailers, etc…

• B2C (Business to Consumer):

These are when a business sells electronically to end-consumers.

• C2C (Consumer to Consumer):

Some of the earliest transactions in the global economic system involved barter — a type of C2C transaction. But C2C transactions were virtually non-existent in recent times until the advent of ecommerce. Auction sites are a good example of C2C ecommerce.

Do We Really Need to Talk About the Benefits?

Once you’ve chosen the kind of E-commerce you need, start selling your products and Services abroad, and make more money, even while you sleep!

SEO, stands for Search Engine Optimization, which really means applying the proper techniques so search engines can find you whenever someone is looking for a product or services of you niche in your area, town, city, state or even country.

Yeah but, how is SEO Done?

There’s two kinds of SEO* , and these are the following:

On site SEO:

Focuses exclusively on the website, by:

• Creating right clean content

 • Reviewing of all images and text

 • URL formats

• Meta descriptions and tags

 • Loading time optimization, etc…

Off site SEO:

seo_link_exchanges_0_0

Is in charge of all external relationships of the website, and there are multiple factors that can  influence a web site’s positioning, such as back links that directing to your page, or competitors, Off-site SEO is based on evaluation and optimization of these factors.

One of the most important factors of the Off-site SEO is link building, generating links that would point to your web in external websites, which will make Google give your page more relevance.

Other aspects can include competition’s monitoring, or even filing complaints to search engines when they are developing unethical behaviors.

With many search engines , we have to be very careful when we do Off-site SEO, because now one negative backlink on your profile can be negative for your website too.

Having a new business may be exciting and overwhelming at the same time. You have so much to do in so little time, that you may think in spending some money on advertising or marketing techniques that may work for you rather than those in which you’ll be just throwing money away.

You may as well think that a website is not needed, if you use basic social media : Facebook, Twitter, or that using local listings ,such as Yellow Pages, or local newspapers will be enough but what many business owners still don’t know is that the most potential costumers look for businesses online before they even hit the streets in the hunt for any services they may be looking for.

With the current economy it is essential to be found online, and just having a website or social media is not enough you also need to market your website in a way that lets costumers find your business first.

According to a study by the Kelsey Group, 97% of consumers use the Internet to search for products and services within their local area.  Which tools do they typically use?  90 percent use general search engines; 42 percent use comparison shopping web sites; 48 percent use online yellow pages services; and 24 percent use vertical search engines.
With all this in mind, businesses need a strategic approach so they can be found online on different paths, including directories, niche blogs and social networking sites. A diverse online presence can make a big difference to your marketing strategies to be successful.
SEO for small businesses is a very powerful tool that will provide you with a better reputation as much as online as offline. People will be talking about you and your business and guess what, this can only be positive if you work it properly.

Pay-per-Click or PPC advertising, also known as paid search, helps you target your advertising messages to local audience as they search for products and services like yours. PPC can be very helpful if you are seeking to drive immediate and targeted traffic for your web as long as you’re willing to pay for each click.

SEO may take a little longer to get your site listed on page one of the Google results, but you will continue to get high rankings long after your SEO efforts are done.

Here’s one of our client’s listings, as you can see No. 1 google page in 4th place !

And this is why we offer full packages for our costumers, making sure that all areas are covered. While dedicating time and money on your site is important, also is building your online reputation with a working team that understands your taylor-made needs.
So if you guys have any questions or are looking to get a quote, let us know!

We as an SEO company have multiple new tasks and new learning to do, this happened to me when I was assigned to do Pawn Shop blogging… I was LOST!

I didn’t knew much, as the rest of the world, about pawn shop but what it is said and told to us since we are little, it is a place to sell things when you need fast cash, a place where people sell stolen stuff and so many other stories we could spend a few posts on it.

So how do we approach such a stigmatized niche? Simple answer is , investigating all there is to know about them, so first thing i went on and did was to try to use posts that would better the reputation of the industry, like educational posts regarding pawn shop procedures, requirementes, etc…

Here i leave you a few more ideas for those pawn shop bloggers out there whom may be just starting fresh:

1. PRODUCTS YOU SELL :

Use the first thing you have in hand! Your products 🙂

2. OFFERS/COUPONS :

Nice discounts will always drive new costumers to you.

3. GEMSTONES:

People don’t know much about their meaning, origin, etc… Illustrate your clients

4. ANTIQUES

Everyone loves antique items, at least one. They will always bring a memory or two back.

5. STORY OF PAWN SHOPS

It is never too late to show people they’ve been here since forever and also are part of the economy of the nation.

6. EDUCATIONAL POSTS ON TO PAWN SHOP PROCEDURES

A well educated client is a best consumer!

7. NEW ITEMS:

Your people want to know what’s new, you never know when you may get someone’s interest with something new.

8. ANSWER QUESTIONS:

Companies whom are open to questions and suggestions gets more clients and build better relationships

9. SERVICES OFFERED/NEW SERVICES:

Keep your people informed on what’s new!

10. INSIDE THE SHOP:

Talk about your employees, regular costumers, pictures of the inside and outside of the shop, etc…

Hope i have helpend once more with this post, since sometimes is hard to get inspired to write, even if you’re an awesome writer.

n this Online world things may work out or not for your company depending of the kind of SEO you choose to get done for your website and or Social Networks. It is important that by the time you’re ready to take this steps (since sometimes it may be a costly but worth asset for your business.), that you know at least some of what kind of service you may be looking for and what results should you get.

So the question many people: Why so many hats? White, Gray Black? Does it really matter?
Does it makes a difference? Read more have a better idea before you choose to get SEO done for yourself.

1. WHITE HAT SEO:

Image

This is the ethical SEO, the most logical and first one anyone starting would follow, is all about best practices. Meaning following all google’s, Bing’s, Yext‘s standards to be properly ranked, using the right keywords and lots of organic on your SMM.

I’m not going to deny that White Hat SEO, asides from being the Search Engine Elite’s friend, it takes longer than any other technique, but trust me, it is worth it.

Here’s some White Hat SEO practices:

CONTENT

  • Researching relevant keywords, both short ail and long tail keywords
  • Including keywords naturally in page titles, headings, link anchor text, other page content, and alt tags
  • Studying analytics reports and fine-tuning the content to further optimize it for targeted keywords and to help direct traffic to relevant pages
  • Adding fresh content regularly

CODING

  • Using correct HTML markup (for example, heading tags) so that search engines can identify headings and other types of content correctly
  • Making sure that all the code is valid (or at least won’t stop search engine bots)
  • Creating site maps so that every page is linked to and search engine bots can crawl every page
  • Using CSS to separate content from markup and thus increase keyword density by having less markup to crawl

LINKING

  • Creating quality content that other people will want to link to
  • Asking to have directories and other relevant websites link to the site
  • Optimizing pages for social media in the hopes of attracting social media links
  • Arranging for link exchanges with relevant sites (considered by some to be gray hat SEO)

2. BLACK HAT SEO:

Image

So time to talk about the “Bad Guys”, not really but yes! Black Hat SEO is a lot more risky than any other, since various techniques are used to trick search engine robots, and to increase traffic in malicious or viral ways. Also Black Hat SEO over stuff with keywords, a fatal decision, since your rank can drop and last months to get back to the tops.

Trying or going too over the top doing Black Hat SEO may result in blocking, banning and worst is that any SEO work you do lasts for years coming back at you to bite your “Behind” every time.

I do not recommend these techniques since I believe all is good ol’ hard work, but some people choose to do so.

Following are some Black Hat SEO practices:

CONTENT

  • Keyword stuffing
    • Overusing keywords in comment tags, alt tags, and meta tags
    • Placing keywords in hidden text (hidden from people, that is) by making their font color the same color as the page background
    • Overusing keywords in visible text, to the point where their repetition is apparent to readers

DECEPTIVE CONTENT

  • Doorway or gateway pages: pages that are stuffed with keywords but that only search engines see because people are redirected to the page with the real content
  • Cloaking: displaying different content to search engines than to people by identifying visitors via IP or via other methods

LINKING

  • Link farms: pages with unrelated links solely for the purpose of creating more links to target pages
  • Spamming forums, blogs, and other social media sites with links (search engines might not penalize sites for this, but it’s considered unethical)

3.GRAY HAT SEO:

Image

So this would be our middle man, the Mr. Cool guy, that takes more risks than a White Hat , but won’t get your site banned from search engines as a Black Hat could. They may be questionable in SEO techniques but not in the same intensity as Black Hat. But since this Industry everything changes so fast, what may be Gray today, may be Black hat tomorrow.

Here’s some Gray Hat SEO techniques:

CONTENT

  • Having a keyword density that’s high enough to sound unnatural but not at the level of black hat keyword stuffing
  • Publishing duplicate content at different sites

LINKS

  • Link building where relevance is less important
  • Planned three-way linking
  • Using paid links
Remember if it sounds too good to be true, it may be. No SEO is done over the night, once i again it is based on Hard Team work that takes time. I hope this post could add some more into your bucket knowledge.
